I know Alex Jones is out there a bit, but these purchases of millions of rounds of HP ammo by DHS (and by the Weather Service ??? FCO) are disturbing, to say the least.

For the past 4-5 days, there has been a change in the Forum's normal functionality.  Previously, when I would read an unread post or reply, that thread title would change from bold to normal as soon as I left the thread (as it should, to indicate no unread replies).  Now, it isn't changing for quite a long time, sometimes not until I log off & return.  This has been the case in both the 'My Replies' and 'Recent Posts' sections.  Happening on at lea...

I've been having a problem with one of my Win7 64b rigs (Vostro 360 All-in-One) periodically (every couple of weeks or so) running out of resources (I get a message to that effect) &/or simply crashing with the screen going black, at which point the system will be very unstable/unresponsive to mouse/keyboard input if it will respond or not come back up at all.  Usually I have no choice but to power the machine off & restart.  Sometimes I can get to TaskManager and initiate ...

The relevant (most egregious) paragraph: The first-term Republican was back on the ballot just a year and a half after his election. Enraged Democrats and labor activists gathered more than 900,000 signatures in support of the recall after they failed to stop Walker and his GOP allies in the state Legislature from stripping most public employees of their union right to collectively bargain. I'm guessing the answer is the latter, but the former is certainly possible wit...

I saw this reply from a poster handled 'raven', who summed it up better than I could: These people are deeply sick and someone needs to tell them to their faces. Someone needs to go on one of their programs and confront them. “Obama has an Enemies List and has targeted and slandered individual American citizens, using the power of the highest office in the land to damage indivual livelihoods and reputations, and all you can talk about is a 50-year old incident at a prep school....

After months (OK, years) of fuming at my cable bill, asking myself why I'm paying $92 a month for cable TV (with NO premium channels) when I hardly watch anything but the Science Channel & NatGeo anymore, I finally broke out of my inertia & pulled the plug. Fortunately, digital antennas have improved to the point that OTA HD channel reception is as good as cable or dish, at least here.   We have 4 TV's in the house (2 of which were old CRT behemoths until earlier ...

I have a ~5 year old Fujitsu laptop which, if memory serves, came with XP SP1 OEM, since updated to SP3 & kept up to date with all the security updates. I've been trying to figuring out a problem with it being very slow, taking a long time to open some apps and running slow within apps. The HD is less than 50% full.  I've done the usual stuff (CCleaner, etc.) to remove temp files and spiff the reg, multiple times, without any real change.  Ran MalwareBytes on it from ...

Just something that ought to be read.  As one who can only take small, infrequent real-time doses of the hate, just to maintain a degree of immunity, I didn't catch any of this 'live'.

New Win7 x64 rig.  OD subscriber.  D/L'd & installed my apps from the store.  Ran WB, Fences & Tweak7 without any problems, each accepted my OD license key & activated post-haste. Went to run SKS7 & got the above message when I clicked the 'Activate' button.  Anyone know what the fix is, before I submit a ticket?  I know, I'm lazy.

Had a problem with installation of the first of the .net updates last month and after repeated failed attempts to get it to install, and after several other updates also failed subsequently, I decided to try MS's free tech support for security issues.  We got all the failed updates to install manually except for the two .net updates.  The first, the one that originally first failed, would hang at about 50% on the progress bar and just sit there. When I attempted to do the update...

Palemoon's website has been offline for several days now ('The connection has timed out' error message).  Anyone know what's up with them?

What an elegant and devastating take-down of a piece by Time's Managing Editor.  Long, but I couldn't stop reading.  Just amazing.  I highly recommend it, especially to all my 'progressive' friends.
